Born From A Healthcare Crisis

The HealFast mobile clinic initiative was born out of the critical impact caused by the well-documented brain drain of highly trained medical professionals from developing countries to western nations. Nowhere is this challenge more severe than in Nigeria, where reports suggest that up to 40% of certified physicians have left the country in the past five years alone.

Compounding this issue, the majority of the remaining healthcare professionals tend to live and practice in urban areas - a result of persistent insecurity in rural regions and limited opportunities to supplement low government salaries. Consequently, the doctor-to-patient ratio, already concerning nationwide, becomes catastrophic outside major cities.

Given the widespread poverty in these areas, many rural residents only seek medical attention once conditions have escalated into critical emergencies.
